SPIRITUAL COW DUNG HAND MADE PAPER

INTRODUCTION

Indigenous Cow ( Desi Cow) is the revitalization of ‘ prana’ ( Life – living existence) and mother cow owns the earth. Each and every particle and droppings from mother cow are strong contributors to the existence of mankind. With this object we use the gobar ( Cow dung)of indeginous cow.

We wish to introduce ourselves as the producer of ecofreindly recyclable DIVINE hand made paper having identity by the name of " COW CHHAAP" ( meaning " impression of our mother cow " ) 

This project has been set up under the initiative of our charitable organization whose main motive is to spread eco-friendly environment and provide a source of income to the gaushala and thereby help in stopping cows being slaughtered.

SAYINGS BY OUR ANCIENT SCULPTURES ABOUT COW DUNG

The cow has been a symbol of wealth since ancient Vedic times.

In the scriptures, we find the sage Vyasa saying that cows are the most efficacious cleansers of all. As per Rig Veda 10.87.16: “yaḥ pauruṣeyeṇa kraviṣā samaṅkte yo aśveyena paśunāyātudhānaḥ,yo aghnyāyā bharati kṣīramaghne teṣāṃśīrṣāṇi harasāpi vṛśca"

Which usually is translated as: "The fiend who consumes flesh of cattle, with flesh of horses and of human bodies, who slaughters the milk producing cow, O Agni, tear off the heads of such with fiery fury". The milk-giving cow here is described as “Aghnya” which means “that what is not to be sacrificed”. 

BRIDGING THE GAP OF GAINING ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE

Now in this world of democracy, you cannot tear off the heads of such people who slaughters cow for economic gain, but surely we may make our combine efforts to get rid of this malpractice by helping in giving high economic value to our mother cow.

Here, our role comes in as to trace out the ways how we can increase revenue with the use of divine dung ( gobar). In our initial experimentation phase we came to know that the fibre extracted out of the divine cow dung can be used to make paper.

We further went on our research phase where lot of experimentation work was carried out and came to the conclusion that we can make good quality paper from the currently less economic valued cow dung.

ADVANTAGES

Hindus believe that at the time ‘ prana’ and soul leaves the body it is severely painful that the attention is distracted thereby the rememberance of almighty becomes impracticable or impossible. We believe ‘ antmati swagati’. One gets disposal according to the thoughts of the last moment because we Hindus believe in existence of soul and salvation of soul.

Our imagination is that if the surroundings are full of divinely effects, the thinking of the last moment will get effected. In this way if the walls are surrounded with positive symbols and cow dung, the memory and rememberance of almighty will be practicable as we have developed cow dung paper with divine symbols, slogans and mantras to be used as wallpapers in whatever surroundings. These may be desired by people.

In our ancient times, the gobar used to applied on the walls of the houses and temples to make the environment positive as well as to give energy in its surroundings. But with the passage of time it is impracticable to do so. But with our mission to save cows, we have developed with the help of our research team a special quality cow dung hand made wall paper which can be pasted on the walls to apply the old practice in these modern days of technology and science.

ALTERNATIVE USE OF COW PRODUCTS

The five products (panchgavya) of the cow — milk, curd, ghee butter, urine and dung — are all used in puja (worship) as well as in rites of extreme penance. The milk of the family cow nourishes children as they grow up, and cow dung (gobar) is a major source of energy for households throughout India in ancient times. Cow dung is among the materials used for a tilak - a ritual mark on the forehead. Most Indians do not share the western revulsion at cow excrement, but instead consider it an heavenly and useful natural product. Everything from a cow was used from their droppings to assistance with plowing the fields. The day-to-day work with the cow was much more important to the people's lives. Every part of the cow holds religious symbolism.
